1983 - 1986
Visited the private school for hotel management in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria.
1986 - 1987
Worked for and with Eckart Witzigmann at his Restaurant Aubergine. He was the best chef of Germany at that time and was later voted Chef of the 20th century by Gault Millau.
1988 - 1993
I like to call it "The first phase" of my development and worked for different hotels and Restaurants in Austria. Last post with 24 years of age was Restaurant Manager at the "2 head Gault Millau" Restaurant Drachenwand at the Golf course Drachenwand next to lake Mondsee with Bruno Plotegher. We received the second head during my time there.
1993 - 1996
My first assignment on another continent. I chose the Restaurant "Four ways inn" on the beautiful island of Bermuda as place to improve my English.
1996 - 2012
"The second stage" of my development and during this time worked for the best western hotel companies such as Four Seasons, Fairmont, Ritz Carlton, Kempinski as well as Hyatt, from Chef de rang up to Director F&B.
2012 - 2014
During this time I gained my first experience as Hotel Manager in India as well as Austria.
Started with my consulting firm for hospitality, Webdesign and hosting as well as SSL certification and SEO optimization.
2014 - 2020
To try something new I joined Viking Cruises as Hotel Manager and was in charge of one of their long ships (95 cabins with up to 190 guests) on the river Danube.
2020 - 2021
The pandemic stopped cruising and I used this time to gain knowledge as post project operations manager for EuroParcs. During this time I also was the managing director for two of their vacation parks in Tyrol. (Leutasch next to Seefeld as well as Pettneu next to the ski region of Arlberg). During the summer of 2021 I took over the responsibilities of Park Manager for two of their new parks in Carinthia with a guest capacity of 900 and 1200 guest.
Since end of 2021 cruising is possible again and I re-joined Viking as Hotel Manager for one of their long ships.
